Computers, Internet, & WiFi Access

We are pleased to offer the patrons of Smiley Public Library free access to computers, internet and Wi-Fi connections at the library.  Our computers are provided primarily for research and education in compliance with the mission of this library.    Designated library computers are equipped with Office 2007 & Office 2003 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access) as well as other educational software programs.

Internet multimedia station with flatbed scanner, headphones, and CDROM access is also available at the ADA compliant standalone workstation near the reference desk.

All patrons must sign and return a computer/use policy agreement.  Patrons under 18 must obtain signed parental/guardian permission.  A one-time $1.00 card fee will be charged for non-residents who do not have a Smiley Public Library card.   The cards are issued to individuals and are not to be used by another person.

Adding "Computer Use" privileges to your library card also allows you access to the computer lab at the Redlands Community Center located on Lugonia Ave.
